This senior citizen grew up in Long Beach, but I haven’t been back there since the 1970s… pre-Gran Prix so my memories of the city come from the era of the movie Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World where the “police station” in the film was shot at the YMCA and many exterior shots were of the city back then. Thanks for the update. It makes me want to visit there and experience the fact that “You can’t go home again.”
